My name is Imelda but my friends call me Imy.

I was born in Gioia del Colle (BA) and currently reside in Rome, where I majored in Egyptology at the Department of Ethnography Prehistoric of Africa at University "La Sapienza". I followed courses in African Archaeology organized by CEE at Université Libre de Brussels. I have written handouts and articles, participated in exhibitions and international conferences, I took part in excavations in Italy and Turkey, and I worked with the Centre for Studies of African Archaeology - Milan, with whom I participated in educational activities at the Museum of Natural History (MI). From 2002 to 2005 I served as Curator of the Museum of Poggiomirteto (Rome) to the archeology section, while in the '90s, I was the chair of Civilizations of Black Africa at the New University - Institute for Culture and Society of Rome.
I'm freelance film critic and currently work as a translator/adapter for a couple of dubbing companies in Rome and Milan.

I live and work in Rome with my two cats: Lilith e Grattastinchi (Stinki).
